Dwain A. Perry
Dwain has worked with The Robey Theatre Company as an actor and a director for the past seven years. First directing Permanent Collection with Harry Lennix at The Greenway Court Theatre. This production was moved to the Kirk Douglas Theatre were it was nominated for Best Revival by the LA Weekly. Dwain was also nominated for a NAACP Award for direction for this production. The next play directed was The River Niger which garnered his second NAACP nomination for direction. Transitions, by Kellie Dantzler, would follow. Also receiving a NAACP nomination for direction. This production was nominated and won the NAACP Award for Best Ensemble and won. This production was invited to the National Black Theatre Festival in North Carolina. Most recently directing Knock Me A Kiss (Ovation Recommended) which performed to mostly sold out houses.
